Omnifex Stereo Flanger

Omnifex Stereo Flanger

The Omnifex Stereo Flanger generates its sweeping comb-filter effect by mixing the dry signal with a delayed copy whose delay time is modulated by an internal low-frequency oscillator. Its Rate control sets the speed of that modulation, while Depth determines how far the delay time sweeps, producing the characteristic jet-like whoosh. A Feedback control regenerates the delayed signal back into the input, intensifying the metallic, resonant peaks and troughs in the frequency response. The pedal offers true stereo operation, with separate left and right outputs that carry phase-inverted modulation for a wide, spacious effect. A manual or center-frequency control allows adjustment of the base delay time, shifting the tonal character of the flanging from subtle to pronounced. The mix or blend control balances the dry and effected signals, enabling everything from gentle chorusing to deep, dramatic flange sweeps. Bypass switching preserves the dry signal path when the effect is disengaged, and the pedal accepts standard 9V DC power.
