The deluxe electric mistress is an awesome pedal. The flange is really cool, the only knob I mess with in that setting is the rate which give cool flange and Uni-Vibe type noises. The Filter Matrix mode I think is the coolest part of the pedal because it gives sort of metallic like sounds and almost outer space sounds.

Good Points: This pedal sounded noticably better when plugged in after dist. in my pedal chain.
Two really unique, diverse settings, sounds good with or without dist.

Bad Points: No Led
big
pricey
possibly not the best flange for the noisican
not my most reliable pedal, on/off switch needs to be repaired on mine.

I used to use this with a DOD Envelope Filter fx25 for sub sounds. It was useful for about a week. The depth and rate knobs are nice for adding textures here and there. Not extremely useful but a cool pedal for ambient noise.

Good Points: Vintage tones, easy to use.

Bad Points: Not very effective for loud abbrasive noise. It's big and gets in the way.

This pedal is designed to make ertheral sounds on guitars. It does a good array of shimmering chorus and flanging sounds and it always sounds really nice. But it's not that useful for noise. I don't like flanging that much anyway.
It also does a good range of filter sounds, you can easily turn off the automatic sweep. You can get some fairly twisted and detuned sounds in this mode and it sounds good on bass and percussion. But maybe a dedicated filter unit would be better, expecailly since this unit is expensive. Not that versitile.

Good Points: Some detuned sounds

Bad Points: Not that useful for noise. It's more for police or pink floyd guitar music.
Horrible wall wart.
