i found the overdrive to be useful only when combined with another distortion...both in the feedback loop, and on it's own...if you put it before another distortion, the gain will send extra signal to the other distortion making it go carzier...you can use it after another distortion to calm it down as well bunp up the volume.
Good Points: cheap, and useful
Bad Points:

Pretty useful for an overdrive pedal. Obviously doesn't destroy like a death metal box, but with OD turned right up into 'Boost' it messes with your sound a fair bit.
Good for a bit of variety, maybe one loop total mayhem and one (using this) slightly less chaotic.
Sturdy DOD construction, even though my on/off switch is a bit dodgy.
Not essential kit but worth a go all the same.
Good Points: Flexibility of the 'boost' section.
Bad Points: It's an overdrive, so it's never gonna destroy. But you knew that already.

This is a nice 'in-between' type of pedal. Not as harsh as the death metal/grunge, but used more for color with other effects. And if that wasn't enough, the BOOST is a nice extra feature to really (over)drive your loop further. Stand alone, it's pretty tame. But it really shines with other pedals, esp distortions. Worth checking out!
Good Points: sturdy DOD construction, BOOST feature, Tone knob for extra 'color'
Bad Points: not really good as a stand-alone distortion, other than that, no bad points at all!

i got two of these for relatively cheap. a good overdrive, with a nice feature...boost. compared to the supra distortion this is warmer...but not a strong distortion wise, and compared to the metal maniac, not as loud. this is good in a feedback loop coupled with some otheer distortions for color...
Good Points: solid dod construction. loud. can hold its own in a feedback loop.
Bad Points: stupid power jack...

Its an overdrive, it overdrives the signal simulating 12ax7 tube distortion... And it actualy does it damn good, with the boost on that is...
Good Points: Volume!.. Yellow!.. Cheap!...
Bad Points: Old style power input... Doesn't interact well with other pedlas in a feedback loop...

Fizzy & Trebley no-frills distortion. Not really noisy or bass heavy. Not an overdrive either. The distortion knob only works when it's on full, so this pedal is either distorted or not so. It's quite cute actually. Could be used to get a bit more feedback in a chain. You can pick one up dead cheap.
Good Points: Cheap.
Bad Points: Nothing special at all. One sound only.
