What this is, is essentially a delay pedal. But not your average delay pedal mind you. It appears to only delay the low frequencies, bringing out the higher frequencies of the signal put through it so that they're the first part of the processed sound which is heard. Giving the illusion of a crisper sound to what it is fed. I had thought putting several of these together in a chain would have made a sharp, cutting blarring squeak out of every noise given to it. Put once I put two of these together and cranked them all the way, it seemingly just mushed the sound up. Possibly I need more than two to hear the effect, but it's possibly that removing all of the high end anywhere along the signal except the front also just takes the life out of your distortion, smears it like when mixing all of the darker paints across the lighter paints and hoping to retain the bright contrasts; and you only end up with brown. This might have nothing to do with the low-delay/high-accentuation and something else to do with what the manual says is mixing back the original signal in notches to remove overload and distortion from the signal in addition to brightening it.
Good Points: Might have a use where something really interesting can be done with more than one, just one pedal by itself adds a nice subtle character to the tone.
Bad Points: Adding several together, though seemingly has potential to make it very harsh, doesn't seem to make it as much so as one would hope. Muddies the harshness of other distortions or inputs.
