This unique one has some highly outlandish and usable effects for the noise musician: pixellators (awesome), resonators (so-so), ring mods (nice), synth generator (wonderful), whammy (kinda cheesy), time warp (kinda cool), sample&hold (a bit lame - uncontrollable and pretty useless) octabass (cool) etc... and the mandatory/always useful volume preset. The strong pixellators/ring mods especially sound very cold and digital - start out quiet then increase the intergalactic pissed-off distorted aliens with the expression pedal - tasty! Digitech had a good idea but they could've taken it much further (i.e. offer more controllable parameters and maybe even multiple at once, etc.)

Good Points: expression pedal! (clearly its major selling point); wide variety of interesting industrial/noise effects (some you won't find anywhere in this price range); ability to store favorites; built-in tuner for use with instruments (like stringed ones) where applicable

Bad Points: for switching between user and preset there's a small button on the BACK of the unit (?!?); only six user locations; not editable aside from the single preset parameter assigned to the pedal (sucks); a lot of the expression pedals on these units are infamous for crapping out (i.e. refusing to stay in the up position and I've heard that some simply broke - sujective to the extent of its use, I guess)

fun pedal, but hard to find. Lots of interesting sounds for noise that are difficult to find elsewhere at all, not to mention all at once.

I tend to use the reverse delays and the "alien" arpeggiators alot. The pixelizer effects are nice in place of a more traditional distortion.

the "warp" effects (reverse delays and pitch shift) tend to get a bit lost in noise, but are more useful for ambient type things.

It seems to have some sort of undefeatable built in noise gate though, so it can sometimes be hard to use in fedback loops (there is also a noticeable delay (and signal drop) when switching patches, which can kill a feedback loop). And switching patches is not at all convenient (have to cycle though all of them).

Good Points: interesting sounds hard to find
elsewhere, expression pedal

Bad Points: ac adapter only, built in noise gate, slow patch switching, less than idea interface, no editing of
patches at all

What an awesome pedal. You've got string swell-type patches, reverse delays with some twisted speed-control options, octaver, pixellators, ring modulators, a sample/hold deal, resonators, arpeggiators, screwed up alien modulation effects, and a volume pedal. So in short it's a grab box of funky weird effects. You have to be an effects WIZARD to really get use out of this, otherwise it's really nothing more than a toy. Good luck finding any of these other effects in other packages, though. This is the only way you'll get this kind of assortment without spending hundreds of dollars.

Good Points: Very unique selection of effects.
Real time parameter control via expression pedal.
Built to last.
Very user friendly, a no brainer.
A good investment, will definitely rise in value over the next few years as it gets more and more rare.

Bad Points: Noticeable volume drop when switching to wet signal.
Volume knob controls bypassed AND wet signal!! What good does that do?!
Pause when switching patches.
Can't edit patches.
User bank only has room for 6 patches.. what if you want more?
Very awkward scrolling between patches.

This is an ideal pedal for noise players, it does so much that anyone will be able to find something. The octave things sounded weak but most other things sound pretty cool. I like the reverse effects and ring modulator. It's very digital and quite thin sounding at times and it's got one of the worst bypasses I've ever seen. It sucks a lot of treble from the sound, even when off. You can't edit the patches either, they are all pre set. Navigating through them all to get to the one you want is a pain as well.

Good Points: Lots of VERY odd sounds indeed. All noise players will find something they like. Very strange alien effects you won't get anywhere else.
Does so many cool noises

Bad Points: Discontinued and hard to find,
Appalling bypass,
Pain to choose the patch you want,
Not too sure how long it would last,
Some effects sound a bit weak and pointless.
