Well.. uhm it has a good metal case contruction. And
basicly it is a distortion and that all you can really say
about it. I never use the Turbo l mode because it sucks.
It's too low end and doesn't sound clear at all. Even
when the Tone Knob is maxed out. So I only use the
Turbo ll position. I only used this one as a low end
booster and sustainer. But since my DOD Grunge broke I
use it as my main distortion.

Good Points: Heavy metal case
Simple distortion but sounds OK with a humbucker
Turbo ll mode
Good as an overdrive/booster

Bad Points: Sounds too low end
Turbo l mode

Pretty much just a beefed up DS-1, not too different though. A little more bass/mid heavy..not too much difference. A decent contact mic distortion, or for putting a little more color on something, not really a standalone harsh distortion though.

Good Points: cheap, well built. good for contact mics.

Outside of a loop, this thing isn't that great. The best feature is the two different modes, it is useful for a sudden punch of tone.

Good Points: Inside a loop the level knob is great for making some stuttering skipping glitch sounds. The Turbo switch. Decent gain.

Bad Points: Turbo one can make things sound kind of muddy, so you don't want this at the end of a chain.

A lot like the DS-1 but now with "turbo." Also, the color scheme is a little different anbd ultimately, much more aesthetically pleasing to the senses.

Good Points: True noisicians will flip over the "turbo" feature which makes the simple krrrrghhhhhhkkkkrrrrrgghhhhhhh feedback sound, sound more like: KRRRRRRRRRRGHHHHHHHHKKKKKKKRRRRRRGGGHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!

Bad Points: This motherfucker cost me 0 and I think maybe I might of been ripped off by the seemingly innocent store clerk at my local "Guitar Mania" shop.

all the stuff the poster said before is true. a decently stronge distortion though i found the turbo knob to be a little bit more useful. but i sold mine since it was way overpriced for what it does...pretty much the case for all of boss effects...id rather spend my hard earned cash on dod...

Good Points: solid construction. decent sound...

Bad Points: but the price never won me over...new or used.

Nice "buzzy" sounding distortion. No crunch to be found here. The switch between Turbo One and Two is useless, but this pedal really does help crank up the gain. Obviously, this pedal is the easiest thing in the world to use. Stick your input in, line it out, stomp on it, tweak it and go!

Good Points: Can get you a nice loud shrieking distortion. On the higher setting it is really, really, and truly harsh. Goes very nicely with modualtion and filter pedals. So easy and responsive to tweaking (I mean it is a Boss pedal!) a total ameteur can easily use this with no difficulty.

Bad Points: There is no crunch to this pedal at all, if you are a guitarist, and the low sounds like someone playing downstairs through the floor. Not to be used for anything but noise at the highest settings. As I said before the Turbo Switches are useless (To me at least).
