| Boss Dynamic Filter FT-2 |
 |
THE FT-2 CHANGES CUTOFF FREQUENCIES DEPENDING ON ATTACK CREATING A "WOW" EFFECT. AN EXPRESSION PEDAL INPUT JACK ALLOWS A USER TO CONTROL THE FILTERING IN REAL TIME FOR ADDED FEEL. THIS PEDAL IS A VIABLE ALTERNATIVE TO THE MUTRON PEDAL IF PHASING IS NOT NEEDED. CONTROLS INCLUDE SENSITIVITY, CUTOFF FREQUENCY, Q AND DOWN/UP OR MANUAL EXPRESSION.
Year first manufacturered: 1986 Year last manufacturered: 1989

A static filter similar to the DOD FX25 with as good a range thanks to the mode switch, but lacking the DOD's depth (really the same as the Boss Auto Wah, just without the oscillator.). A nice feature is the exp. in jack which allows control of the filter w/ an expression pedal, which is initially why I bought it (attempt to use a single pedal w/ both the Dynamic Filter and PS-3, w/ mixed results). I now mainly use it as a tone shaping device following a Boss Bass EQ to either sharpen up a signal muddied by the EQ or squeeze an extra bit of bass out of the sound. Out of production for years, they're becoming more difficult to find at reasonable prices.
